Budget hard cheese in the microwave: cooked without milk
Hard cheese is a product that does not have to be bought in a store as it is very easy to make at home from available ingredients. Traditionally, it is made from cottage cheese, milk, or sour cream, and is supplemented with your favorite spices, herbs, seeds, or nuts.
Cook Lilia Tsvit shared a recipe for homemade hard cheese on her YouTube channel (Lilia Tsvit), which you can easily make in the microwave in minutes.
Ingredients for 1 kg 200 g of hard cheese:
- cottage cheese - 2 kg 400 g
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- salt - 2 tsp.
- baking soda - 2 tsp.
- oil - 2 tbsp.
- spices
Method of preparation:
1. Put cottage cheese on a plate and microwave for 3 minutes. Then take the product out and mix it thoroughly. You need to heat the cottage cheese in this way 2-3 more times to melt it well and make it homogeneous.
2. After that, drain the cottage cheese with cheesecloth. Wait for the excess liquid to drain off.
3. Add salt, baking soda and an egg to the cottage cheese. Beat with a blender until smooth. Add oil and mix.
4. Put the cheese back in the microwave for 3 minutes. Then mix thoroughly. Repeat the procedure until the mass begins to stick together and becomes viscous. If desired, you can add your favorite spices or even seeds or nuts.
5. Put the resulting mass into containers and press well. Be sure to let it cool in the refrigerator. The cheese is ready!
