Rice is an ideal option for a hearty side dish that goes well with any meat. The main thing is that it does not look like porridge and is crumbly. To do this, you need to follow a special cooking technique.

The idea of cooking crumbly rice for a side dish was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname recepti_dariko.

Ingredients:

  • rice - 1 cup
  • carrots - 1-2 pcs.
  • green peas - 1 cup
  • butter - 20-30 g
  • green onions - 1 bunch
  • salt - 1 tsp.
  • turmeric - 1 tsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Peel the carrots and cut them into small cubes, chop the onion, and rinse the rice.

2. Heat the butter in a wide frying pan, add carrots, green onions, peas, and washed rice. Sauté over low heat for 7 minutes, stirring constantly.

3. Add 2 cups of water, salt, turmeric, stir, bring to a boil, increase the heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

4. Everything is cooked together, you can sauté the chicken fillet in small cubes for 3 minutes before the carrots and you will get the main dish.
