French actor Alain Delon, who died on August 18, expressed his disappointment with the era and humanity six years ago. He admitted that before his death he would not regret leaving this world.

The celebrity voiced the brutal truth in an interview with Paris Match in January 2018. He said that he was going through the most unhappy period of his life, as it no longer "offers him anything special."

"I've seen it all, experienced it all. But above all, I hate this era, it makes me sick. There are people I hate. They are all fake, all distorted. There is no more respect, no more weight of the word. All that matters is money," Delon said.

"You hear about crimes all day long. I know that I will leave this world without any regrets. No, that's for sure, I really won't regret leaving it," the actor admitted.

Even then, he was ready for his death and was thinking about who would be with him after he left this world.

"I have everything ready, the grave is in my chapel, there are six places. So far, it's a little empty, a little deserted. My loved ones who have already passed away are in other places. We will see who will join me later," said Alain Delon.

As a reminder, the French actor and sex symbol of European cinema in the 60s and 80s passed away at the age of 88. The cause of the legendary actor's death has not been announced.

"We can say that he was ready for it. Alain Delon died so many times on the screen that it probably seemed like the last shot. God, who is a bad screenwriter, said: "Cut!" Delon did not get up. He will no longer direct a ketch in the open air," the French media outlet Le Figaro reported.
