Marichka Padalko told how she was impressed by Michael Douglas during the interview: all stars and politicians should take note
During his visit to Kyiv for the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen organized by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, Hollywood star Michael Douglas had time to be interviewed by journalist Marichka Padalko. She admits that she did not expect to see the actor of her childhood in the TV studio, but she was happy to talk to him and noted certain things in the celebrity's behavior that Ukrainian stars and politicians should take into account.
According to her, Michael Douglas did not set any conditions for his willingness to come to the interview. In particular, he behaved respectfully with the crew members despite his status as a world-class star. This was reported by Marichka Padalko on Instagram.
"We didn't hear any preconditions from him: no one demanded separate dressing rooms or special makeup, no one set conditions for the light in the studio or the angles for filming. And I didn't hear Douglas or the summit organizers ask me what I was going to talk about with the guest! Those colleagues who have constant problems with guests, "send us a question", "we won't talk about that", "let's not have a last question" will understand me. Douglas has a lot to teach some of our showbiz stars and politicians, whose arrival on the channel can sometimes be compared to an earthquake," the journalist said.
The actor was kind enough to talk to everyone, despite the fact that he may never meet these people again. As Padalko says, real stardom is in the little things.
"The Hollywood actor came only with his translator, Olga, who accompanied him these days in Kyiv. Real stardom is in the little things - saying hello to everyone, repeating a foreign name you hear for the first time out of respect, reacting to some personal remarks of a person you will most likely never meet again. And we want the people who support us so much to come back to Ukraine again and again," added Marichka Padalko.
In particular, the journalist said that the recording of the interview was on the verge of failure due to the tight time frame. However, everything went well, and the actor did come, albeit for a limited time. The conversation took 16 minutes of airtime.
"The interview was on the verge of being disrupted because Douglas was staying with the president and had a train back in a few hours. "He's coming!" was finally heard on the floors of the canal, and then I realized how many of us just wanted to see him. And then Michael Douglas charmed everyone. Even me, even before he arrived," Padalko said.
