On August 23, the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine, Ukrainian stars congratulated their subscribers on the holiday. They explained what the Ukrainian symbol means to them and showed photos of blue and yellow looks.

The flag has become an integral part of celebrities who travel the world with charity concerts, raffle flags to help the Ukrainian armed forces and simply popularize Ukraine abroad over the past years. Singers Olia Poliakova and Nadia Dorofeeva showed their photos from performances, where they sang with the flag in their hands. According to the singer of the hit song Duma, the colors of the national flag have a special meaning for her.

"Blue means freedom, yellow is energy," she wrote.

Famous actress Natalia Denysenko, wearing a gorgeous blue-yellow dress, wrote, "Our indomitable symbol. Colors that warm the heart. Appreciate, cherish and protect yours. This is what the war taught me and what I will never forget."

Singer Jamala also appeared in a blue and yellow look, which she complemented with gold jewelry.

Singers Tina Karol, Nastia Kamenskykh, Natalia Mohylevska and presenter Lesia Nikitiuk also did not ignore the state holiday.

The stars called the Ukrainian flag their shield and protection. "Let our banner take care of the defenders and protectors," Lesia Nikitiuk said.

Ukrainian prima ballerina Kateryna Kukhar called the national flag "a symbol of invincibility, freedom and will."

Slava Diomin, a well-known presenter, also joined in congratulations.

"It's a pity that they learned about us and our flag because of such events, but it's so cool to see photos of the Ukrainian flag in different parts of the world," the post reads.

Earlier OBOZREVATEL wrote that President Volodymyr Zelensky took part in the solemn ceremony of raising the blue-yellow flag in Kyiv. It is symbolic that our defenders from different parts of the country left their signatures on it.
