Ukrainian singer Alina Grosu, who recently got into a scandal for inappropriate dancing on the day of Russia's massive missile attack on Kyiv, is once again in the spotlight for a performance in the United States where she sang the song "White Roses" by Russian Yuri Shatunov, a man who was about to fight against Ukrainians in Donbas. The singer's representatives stood up for her and said that the woman was "just envied."

Alina Grosu's performance was shared on the SLAY MUSIC Telegram channel. The message says that the celebrity allegedly sang at a private birthday party of a Ukrainian, "where Russian songs were played".

In the video, a woman who looks and sounds like Grosu stands on stage in a black jumpsuit and sings a verse from "White Roses." She was supposed to sing only her own hits, but miraculously, she ended up with a track by a fiercely Russian man in her repertoire.

Alina Grosu's team commented to the Ukrainian media that the singer speaks Ukrainian and English well, so there is no point in using the language of the aggressor country. Her representatives said that the video was edited by people who envy the woman's success and recognition.

"It's a montage. She has a lot of invitations. That's why people are just jealous of her. She translated all the songs into Ukrainian. Alina is fluent in Ukrainian and English, so she sings exclusively in these languages. We were warned that the more Alina is recognized, the more likely it is that there will be attempts to discredit her. These are all ill-wishers. The video is simply fabricated," the statement reads.
