Vitaliy Kim

Vitaly Aleksandrovich Kim is a Ukrainian entrepreneur, politician and statesman. Since November 25, 2020 he has been the head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

Brief biography

Vitaly Kim was born on March 13, 1981 in Nikolaev.

He received his education at the Gymnasium #2 and Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding. Specialist in the economics of enterprises.

Kim began his entrepreneurial career in 1998.

In 2003 he started working for "Ukrpromresurs". This is a company specializing in evaluation and auditing activities in the public sector.

From 2005 to 2011 he worked in the investment sector, holding senior positions in several Nikolaev companies.

In 2015-2016 he worked in the analytical department of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.

During the presidential and parliamentary elections in 2019, he worked in the Mykolayiv regional election headquarters of the "Servant of the People" party. Subsequently, he led the headquarters during the local elections, and was also a candidate for deputy to the Mykolaiv City Council.

On November 25, 2020, he was appointed Chairman of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

Fluent in English, also partially in French and Korean.

Family

Kim is married. Together with his wife Yulia, he raises three children. The couple has two daughters - Yevgeniya and Alexandra and a son - Ruslan.

State Awards

In March 2022 during the war with Russia he was awarded the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky III degree. The President of Ukraine noted Kim's significant personal contribution to the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, courage and selfless actions shown when organizing the defense of settlements from Russian invaders.
