Short biography
Steve Jobs founded Apple in 1976 with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. In 1985, he left the company due to disagreements with the top management of the corporation, but in 1997 he returned and became its CEO in 2000.
In August 2011, Steve Jobs, who developed such unique products as the iPod and iPhone and iPad, left the post of head of Apple after a long vacation. Tim Cook, who had been Jobs' replacement since January 17, 2011, when Jobs went on medical leave, became the company's CEO. At the same time Steve Jobs was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of Apple.
Former Apple CEO Steve Jobs died at the age of 56.
