Maxim Zinovich Kozitsky is the head of the Lviv regional state administration.

Maxim Kozitsky's biography

Maxim Kozitsky was born in the city of Nikolaev, Lviv region, in 1981, on February 19.

Kozitsky received his higher education at the Lviv University of Medicine, which he graduated from in 2004 with a degree in "surgery". Later he received a second degree - this time at the Kiev-Mohyla Academy.

In 2009 Maxim Kozitsky headed a company called "Eco-Optima", which deals with renewable, "green" energy sources, performs installation of solar and wind power plants. Although Kozitsky handed over the management of the aforementioned company to his father in early 2020, he nevertheless remained among the ultimate beneficiaries of Eco-Optima.

In local elections in Ukraine, which were held in 2015, Maksym Kozitsky ran on behalf of the political force "Samopomich" in the Lviv regional council, but did not get the necessary number of votes to win and get the mandate.

Appointment of Kozitsky as Head of the Regional State Administration

Maksim Kozitsky's candidacy for the post of Lviv governor was nominated back in the summer of 2019, and at the end of the same 2019 his candidacy was finally and successfully agreed by the government.

On February 6, 2020, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky approved Maksim Kozitsky as head of the Lviv regional state administration.

Maksim Kozitsky's family

Lviv governor is married. Maxim Kozitsky's wife is Oksana. The couple has two children. Maksim Kozitsky's father is Zinoviy, a well-known Ukrainian businessman, who owns Horizon drilling companies and also holds the position of director of Eco-Optima.
