Katya Osadchaya
Kateryna Aleksandrovna Osadchaya is a Ukrainian journalist and TV host.
Brief biography
Katya Osadchaya was born on September 12, 1983 in Kiev.
During her school years she was engaged in music and dancing.
At the age of 13, Osadchaya began her career as a model, graduating from the school of the Bagira agency models. At the age of 14 worked as a model for three months in Japan. Subsequently, she worked in Germany, England and France. However, at the age of 18, Osadchaya ended her modeling career and returned to Ukraine.
She graduated by correspondence from the history department of the Taras Shevchenko Kiev National University.
She also began working with a Ukrainian language teacher to improve her pronunciation, diction and voice.
Later she started working as a freelance correspondent for the First National Channel.
In 2005 she was chosen at the casting for a new project on the TV channel "Tonis", which was called "Secular Chronicles".
In 2007 she became the presenter of the programme "High Life" on the First National Channel, which in August 2008 was broadcasted on "1+1" TV channel.
She was also the host of the show Voice of the Country and the talent show Voice.Children and the show "Little Giants" on "1+1".
Personal life
In 2001, Osadchaya married Oleg Polishchuk, who was an MP from the Green Party of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada of III and VI convocations. The husband was 15 years older. The following year Kateryna and Oleg gave birth to a son, whom they named Ilya. In 2004, the couple announced their divorce.
In February 2017, Osadchaya married TV presenter Yuri Gorbunov. In the same month the spouses had a child. The boy was named Ivan.
In August 2021, the couple had their second child - Daniel.
Osadcha also has a younger brother.
