France is ready to receive Ukrainian pilots
France will join the training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 multi-role fighters. Training of our pilots in this country will begin in early 2024
This is stated in the report of the French Ministry of Defense on military assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia. The document was published on the defense ministry's website on December 19.
"Finally, on May 15, 2023, the President of the Republic announced that France had offered Ukraine the opportunity to train fighter pilots together with several European partners. The first pilots will arrive in early 2024," the statement said.
The ministry noted that Ukrainian pilots will undergo only initial training in France. After that, they will continue their training on F-16 fighters at courses organized by other partner countries.
Although the French Ministry of Defense has not specified this, it is likely to be the F-16 training organized in Europe by a coalition led by Denmark and the Netherlands.

Ukrainian pilots continue training on F-16 fighters in Denmark. Some of them are already being trained in the air on these aircraft with instructors.
In parallel with the training of pilots, Ukraine has created a special structure to integrate the F-16 into the overall system of the Armed Forces. The program will be implemented in two stages: "Fast Track" and "Scaling Up".
