Ukrainian Armed Forces advance by almost 1.5 km near Bakhmut, 138 occupants eliminated - Cherevaty

In the Bakhmut sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces advanced up to 1,400 metres in various areas over the last day. More than a hundred militants were eliminated.

This was reported by the spokesperson for the Eastern Military Group, Serhiy Cherevaty, during a telethon. According to him, the Ukrainian soldiers successfully took advantage of the rotation conducted by the occupiers.

According to Cherevaty, Ukrainian troops made progress in the Bakhmut sector over the last day.

"We managed to advance up to 1,400 metres in different areas over the last day," said the spokesman for the Eastern military grouping.

According to Cherevaty, Ukrainian soldiers took advantage of the fact that the Russian invaders were rotating and launched a counterattack.

However, the enemy continues to shell the positions of Ukrainian soldiers: over the past day, the invaders carried out 8 air strikes and fired 330 rounds of cannon and rocket artillery.

Combat engagements also continued, during which the invaders suffered losses in manpower and equipment.

"A total of six engagements took place, during which our Defence Forces killed 138 occupants, 236 were wounded and one was taken prisoner. They also destroyed a self-propelled artillery system "Gvozdika", 3 armoured vehicles, a howitzer 6 ZALA, 8 ammunition depots and 7 vehicles that transported ammunition and weapons," said Cherevaty.

According to the spokesman, the enemy is currently trying to build up its defences and has made attempts to counterattack Ukrainian positions, but all these attempts have failed. Currently, the Defence Forces have occupied a number of important heights in the Bakhmut sector.

As a reminder, on the morning of June 10, the General Staff traditionally calculated the losses suffered by the enemy army the day before. Thus, on June 9, the Ukrainian Armed Forces thinned out the Russian army by another 890 mercenaries and 78 pieces of equipment with weapons.

The total irreversible losses of the Russian Federation in manpower during the full-scale invasion reached 214,660 people.
