As soon as US Congress approves funding, Ukraine will receive the most up-to-date weapons - Pentagon

Pentagon speaks out about helping Ukraine
The Pentagon says it will send the Armed Forces if the House of Representatives approves it

The first package of new U.S. military aid to Ukraine will include weapons most relevant to the needs of the Defense Forces. However, this requires the US Congress to vote for further funding.

Sabrina Singh, deputy spokesperson for the United States Department of Defense, said this at a briefing on Thursday, February 22. She was quoted by Ukrinform.

Singh emphasized that the Pentagon is aware that air defense and artillery ammunition are still the main priorities for Ukraine's defenders.

If Congress makes a positive decision, Kyiv will receive the priority weapons discussed at recent meetings in the Ramstein format (the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense).

The Pentagon spokesperson was asked about the delivery of ATACMS ballistic missiles. Singh replied that nothing is off the table.

However, she emphasized that this would first require the Congress to pass a bill with additional funding for US national security needs.
