On the morning of September 21, Russian occupants attacked Cherkasy. A Russian missile was shot down, but a civilian infrastructure facility in the city center was damaged. At least 5 people were injured, and one more is under the rubble.
This was reported on Facebook by the mayor of the city Anatoliy Bondarenko. Rescuers have already arrived at the scene.
"As a result of the downing of a Russian missile, a civilian infrastructure facility in the city center was hit, all services are working at the scene," he wrote.
Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, clarified that the debris of an enemy missile fell in the central part of the city, which resulted in the damage to a social infrastructure facility.
"There are currently five victims. At least one person is under the rubble. The rescue operation is underway," he wrote.
