The first round of Euro 2024 ended productively

At the European Football Championship, which is currently taking place in Germany, the 1st round of the group stage was completed the day before. It resulted in an incredible situation at the championship - none of the players scored more than once, while the teams hit their own goal three times.

A total of 34 goals were scored on the first game day of the championship, or 2.84 goals per match. Thirty-one different players scored, and the top scorers got an auto-goal. The most productive team was Germany, which destroyed Scotland 5-1 in the opening match. This match was also the richest in terms of goals scored.

The Turks, Romanians, Swiss and Spaniards scored three goals each. Austria, Ukraine, Croatia, Belgium and Serbia did not score any goals.

The majority of goals were scored between the 15th and 30th minute of the first half. During this period, the teams scored eight times. Only twice did the audience see goals in stoppage time before the first half, as well as in the first 15 minutes of the second half.

One goal was scored from the penalty spot (Germany vs. Scotland), and another penalty kick was missed by Croatia.
