"The atmosphere has changed". Mostovoy explains how Russia now views the war in Ukraine
Former Russian national football player Alexander Mostovoy gave a long interview to the Spanish press, where he touched upon the war in Ukraine. The participant of two European Championships and the 1994 World Cup admitted that if we compare the situation after February 24, 2022 and now, by 2024 most Russians will be "tired of the conflict."
"In Moscow, it is noticeably less noticeable because it is a huge city that creates its own space, but when you go a little further out of the capital, you see that people are not as happy as they used to be. What do citizens feel on the street? Most are tired of this conflict. They want to live in peace and without problems," Mostovoy was quoted as saying by As.com.

After his career ended, Mostovoy lived in Spain for a long time in his own house on the outskirts of Malaga, very close to the popular Russian resort of Marbella.
"When my children grew up, I returned to Russia because I was slowly running out of money and I had to work. People live in luxury there, it's true, but I don't earn as much as I did when I was a football player and came back home. I don't have a stable job in Moscow. For some time I was a TV commentator, but my contract expired and now I am involved in various types of cooperation, but without a clear schedule or a specific task," the former footballer said.
