"Match TV" screwed up once again
The Latvian ice hockey team sensationally defeated Team USA in the match for third place at the World Championship and won the bronze medals of the World Cup for the first time in its history. The match in Tampere, Finland ended in overtime with a score of 3:4.
Before the game, bookmakers were clear in their preferences, taking bets on the U.S. victory at odds of 1.63. The success of the Latvian national team was rated much more modestly at 4.19, while a draw in regulation time (which happened) was quoted at 4.89.
