Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev said that the number of international competitions with Russians would increase. According to the official, the Russian Federation has always stood for fair competition, as well as "for strengthening peace and establishing international understanding."

According to Degtyarev, from 2020 to 2023, Russian athletes took part in 8,000 international competitions, which speaks to the country's greatness.

"We can see how much the spectacle and effectiveness of many international tournaments without the participation of Russian athletes has slipped. I am confident that the number of competitions involving our athletes will soon increase again. This is what spectators and athletes from other countries demand," R-Sport quoted Degtyarev as saying.

The official also boasted that the BRICS Games, which are called the "alternative Olympics" in Russia, have reached a whole new level.

"More than 4,500 participants from 86 countries took part in the Games. The largest delegations were from Russia and Belarus, but there were also large delegations from Brazil, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Russia won the competition ahead of schedule, but representatives from 31 countries will leave with medals," said Mikhail Degtyarev.

Russian fans could not pass indifferently by such a passage of their compatriot, ridiculing his pathos.
