The passage of persons and vehicles through the Ustyluh-Zosyn checkpoint is carried out in a slow mode due to the registration of persons on laptop computers. In addition, at several other checkpoints, such as Chop-Zahony and Solotvyno-Sighetu Marmatiei, repair work is underway, which restricts traffic.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Earlier it was reported that the passage of persons and vehicles was not carried out at all.

The work of the checkpoint has been partially restored

Due to a malfunction in the database of the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland, the passage of persons and vehicles through the Ustyluh-Zosyn checkpoint was temporarily suspended until 12:30 on September 22. Information about the problem was received at night, and the Polish side was actively working to resolve it.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine urged citizens and carriers to choose other border crossing points to avoid delays. At the moment, the passage of people and vehicles is being carried out in a slow mode due to the processing of persons on laptop computers.

Situation at other checkpoints

This is not the first time that the Ustyluh-Zosyn checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Polish border has faced temporary restrictions. On September 3 , restrictions were imposed on traffic in the direction of Ukraine due to repair work that will last until November 30. This has made it difficult to cross the border, and now the situation is complicated by technical problems with the database.

In addition, repairs are being carried out at other important checkpoints. For example, on the Hungarian border at the Chop-Záhony checkpoint , road works began on September 19. This partially restricted the movement of cars and trucks, as only two of the five lanes were left open. The repairs will last two weeks and are expected to be completed in early October. The repairs are being carried out as part of a USAID-supported border infrastructure modernization project.

Other problems at the borders

The situation on the Ukrainian-Romanian border also remains difficult. At the Solotvyno-Sighetu-Marmatiei checkpoint, a partial restriction on traffic is in place until October 5 due to the repair of the bridge over the Tisa River. The repairs are caused by an emergency on the bridge, and this has significantly affected the speed of border crossing.

The Polish border crossing in Dorohusk also faced problems due to road repairs. The work is expected to last until November 14, which will hamper traffic in both directions.

Given these temporary restrictions and technical problems, Ukrainian border guards advise citizens and carriers to choose alternative routes to cross the border. The situation remains under control, but in order to avoid delays, it is worth planning your route in advance, keeping track of the latest data on checkpoints.

As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia stops selling tickets for the Rava-Ruska - Warsaw route starting from September 22. This is due to the expiration of the agreement with the Polish company SKPL, which operated this route.
