Autumn tours in the Carpathians

Those who have climbed the mountains at least once in their lives have definitely fallen in love with this beautiful atmosphere forever. Cozy mansions, hot tea made with fragrant local herbs, and the crackle of branches in the fire. All these things allow you to find inner balance, calm down and just relax. And this is what Ukrainians really need right now. Thus, to know where to go during the golden season, read below.

Bukovel

An all-season resort in the village of Polianytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk region. We recommend going for a hike first. In fact, there are many options for hiking. There are easy destinations and difficult trekking routes. Everyone will be able to choose trails for their level of training. One of the most popular is Mount Khomiak.

You can also rent a bicycle, go karting on a special track, and visit an extreme park. For travelers, there are suspended obstacle courses, rope bungees, stairs, bridges, and swings. And that's not all! The complex has a ski lift that takes you to the observation deck.

For fishing enthusiasts, we recommend going to the artificial lake. Trout are bred here until mid-October. Or you can go to the Prut or Prutets Yablunytskyi rivers.

As for accommodation, travelers can rent a hotel room or relax in a glamping site.

Yaremche

A town in the Ivano-Frankivsk region and the heart of green tourism in Prykarpattia. It is easy to get here as buses and trains run frequently. The train station is located in the center of the village.

Be sure to go to the 8-meter-high Probiy waterfall. There is an observation pedestrian bridge nearby. From here you can admire the surroundings and feel the full power of the unrestrained water. By the way, the reservoir is part of the Carpathian National Nature Park.

We also recommend visiting the local zoo. It was founded in 1992. The peculiarity of the menagerie is the creation of natural conditions for animals. It is home to hunting pheasants, peacocks, foxes, deer, and raccoons. We also recommend visiting the open-air Park-Museum "Carpathians in Miniature". It exhibits the sights and cultural heritage of the region.

Also, a popular route to the Dovbush Rocks starts nearby. The rock-cave complex is located at an altitude of 668 meters above sea level.

There are different types of accommodation in Yaremche: from estates and cottages to hotels and guest houses.

Drahobrat

The highest ski resort in the Zakarpattia region. People usually come here in winter. However, you can have a great vacation here even in the fall. Travelers can go hiking, cycling, or horseback riding.

From here you can climb the Zhandarm and Bliznytsia mountains. The whole way is about 5.2 kilometers. Tourists start near the Peremychka hut, where there is a cable car. If you have time, go to Lake Ivor, which was formed as a result of glacial melting. The water here is crystal clear.

Despite the fact that the resort is located at an altitude of more than 1400 meters above sea level, there are many hotels here.

Rakhiv

A highland town in the Hutsul region. It is located in Rakhiv district of Zakarpattia region. It was founded in 1447.

Be sure to go up to the Rose of the Winds (Lisa mountain). From here you can simultaneously see the most popular peaks of the Ukrainian Carpathians: Hoverla, Brebeneskul, Petros, Pip Ivan, Breskul and others. The route is also famous for the oldest larch trees that grow at the beginning of the path.

We also recommend going to the village of Dilove. The geographical center of Europe is located here. And, of course, visit the Hutsul Bryndzya Museum. Here you can take a tour in virtual reality glasses. Tourists will also be able to see a sheep farm and taste traditional kulish with bryndza.

There are different types of accommodation in Rakhiv: from cottages and hostels to houses on the slopes of the mountains.

Vyzhnytsia

A town in the Chernivtsi region. It is home to the Nimchych Pass. It was here that such prominent Ukrainian artists as Ivan Franko, Yuriy Fedkovych, and Lesya Ukrainka once admired the beauty of nature.

The village of Roztoky, often called "pearl of Bukovyna," is 16 kilometers away. Here, travelers can see an amazing natural phenomenon - the Protiati Kameni tract - a group of rocks formed as a result of tectonic movements.

We also recommend a trip to Dovbush Cave. Here, tourists will be able to walk through a 7-10 meter long tunnel. To do this, we recommend bringing special equipment and a flashlight.

Time to recharge your batteries with positive emotions! Go on an autumn trip to the Carpathians.
