A video from the Double Dutch Contest tournament held in Shanghai has gone viral. In the video, Chinese athlete Qin Xiaolin sets a Guinness World Record for jumping rope.
Xiaolin was able to make 228 jumps in 30 seconds using the running step technique.
Despite the fact that the competition itself took place back in 2019, the video of Xiaolin's performance garnered 1 million views on social network X (formerly Twitter) in a few hours.
In the comments, some users pointed out that the video is sped up, which creates the effect of a fantastic reaction from the athlete. Users also provided a link to the original clip:
Qin began his training with a rope in 2012. As he was not doing well in school, he decided to become part of the school team to develop his self-confidence. At first, he had to force himself to go to class, but then he got involved and discovered different styles of jumping.
In 2015, Xiaolin set another record by jumping seven times in one second. In total, he made 108 jumps in 30 seconds, which no one had ever done before.
