Summer heat can be a real challenge. However, with frequent power outages and the need to save energy, it's not always possible to escape with air conditioners and fans.

Fortunately, there is a way to cool down without modern technology. Read the OBOZ.UA article on how to escape the heat with a Japanese air conditioner or an anti-scarf.

Due to the shortage of electricity, Ukrainians are forced to face blackouts and limit themselves to using electrical appliances, including air conditioners. But this does not mean that you have to suffer from the heat for at least three months in a row.

In order to lower your body temperature a bit and feel good even on the warmest summer days, you only need

  • A scarf;
  • Cold water.

Wet the cloth with cold water and tie it around your neck. The wet "scarf" will consume energy to evaporate the moisture. This will be accompanied by a decrease in body temperature because a person cools down in the same way when he or she sweats.

In Japan, there are even special stickers and neck pads for sale that help reduce body temperature.

You can also use a paper towel or even toilet paper instead of a handkerchief.

If you don't have cold water, put ice in the towel and wait for it to melt, or wrap a cold drink in a napkin to soak up the condensation.

How else can you cool off in the heat

Wet your clothes so that they also work like a Japanese air conditioner. You can also put your hands in a container of cold water to speed up the cooling process.

If you want to take a cold shower to cool off, don't. Your body will react to the sudden change in temperature and start trying to keep warm instead. Therefore, it is better to bathe under warm water so that later the environment will seem cooler to you.

In addition, wear loose clothing that does not fit your body. If the air circulates, it will be easier for sweat to evaporate, making you feel better.
