Bohdan Bushe talked about his condition with Guillain-Barré syndrome

Popular Ukrainian TV presenter and actor Bohdan Sheludiak, also known by his pseudonym Bushe, recently alarmed his fans with the news that he has been diagnosed with a rare disease called Guillain-Barré syndrome. This disease is detected in 1 case out of 100,000 and has made it difficult for the star of the TV series "Kyiv by Day and Night" to walk and talk. Sheludiak compares his condition to very heavy alcohol intoxication.

On InstaStories, the new host of the popular TV show "Who's On Top" updated his followers about his health. Bohdan's speech is currently very slow, and his diction is slurred.

In addition, the actor noted that he suffers from numbness in his limbs, blurred vision, and poor coordination.

"I can tell you about my condition. Remember when you got very drunk. Very much. That's the state I'm in, only I understand everything normally, but my body can't react quickly to the brain's commands," the 31-year-old host said.

Bushe's immunity is currently very weak, so visitors are not allowed to see him, including his new colleague on the show "Who's on Top?" Lesia Nikitiuk.

Bogdan thanked his fans for their warm words of support. However, he admitted that he often receives messages from ill-wishers. In particular, haters recall the sexist scandal involving Sheludiak, who, along with Volodymyr Ostapchuk, evaluated women's appearance.

To recap, Sheludiak contacted his subscribers, slurring his words and comparing his condition to a "vegetable." The star has been hospitalized, but he hasn't improved yet. However, his condition is not deteriorating critically either.

Guillain-Barré syndrome is an acute autoimmune inflammatory polyradiculoneuropathy that manifests as flaccid paresis and paralysis, sensory disturbances, and autonomic disorders. Usually, the symptoms of the syndrome begin suddenly over several days or weeks. In most cases, Guillain-Barré syndrome resolves in a few months. However, in some cases, the symptoms can be severe and lead to disability or even death.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that Sheludiak recently became the captain of the men's team and co-hosted with Lesia Nikitiuk in the new season of the show "Who's on Top." He was chosen among 10 other candidates.
