Brazilian singer Darlyn Morais died after being bitten by a spider on the face
Popular singer Darlyn Morais, who was only 28 years old, died in Brazil. The reason was complications after a spider bite on his face.
The arthropod bit the singer at his home in the northeastern city of Miranorta on October 31. After that, a bright bruise appeared on the man's face, and he felt constantly tired and weak, reports the Daily Mail.
Morais's wife, Julienne Lisboa, said that within a week her husband, in addition to fatigue and a bruise that changed color to a darker one, developed an allergic reaction. The singer went to a hospital in Miranorte, where he was treated and discharged on Friday.
However, the singer's condition only worsened. On Sunday, November 5, he was hospitalized at the Palmas General Hospital. The next day, November 6, Morais' heart stopped.
The singer's 18-year-old stepdaughter was also bitten by a spider. The girl is currently in the hospital. Her condition is described as stable.
It is noted that Morais is survived by a six-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son. In January 2024, the singer and his band, which also included his brother and best friend Darlyn, planned to give a live concert and release it on record.
Morais started playing music at the age of 15. He and his band regularly performed in the state of Tocantins, as well as in the neighboring states of Goiás, Maranhão, and Pará.
"He was always surrounded by friends, and it was always a cause for celebration for him... He was always very happy and smiling with everyone around him. He had a huge heart and always helped people around him," the singer's family recalls.
