According to popular belief, empty bottles on the table can be a bad omen for the family. The following signs are associated with this:

• Empty dishes are also dangerous for health and can be a harbinger of illness.
• For women, such placement of empty containers predicts problems with conception and childbirth.

The East is equally cautious about empty bottles.
