Surprisingly enough, this household item will help solve a common problem. Attach the mat to a coat hanger and hang it on the attachment to the shower curtain or on the towel rail. The rug will dry faster and you won't have to worry about mold or odor.

You should also wash your fabric mats once a week to get rid of bacteria that can cause illness on your skin.

You can use a diluted solution of water and white vinegar for washing. Add a glass of vinegar and detergent to a container of warm water. Use a brush to wash the rug, rinse it under running water and dry it in the fresh air.
