Location

In winter, ficus needs a comfortable place to develop. Do not place the plant near a hot radiator, as dry air will harm the leaves. In summer, avoid direct sunlight, as this contributes to the drying out of the soil.

Temperature

The most favorable temperature for ficus is 16-18 degrees Celsius. Strong drafts and sudden changes in weather conditions can significantly harm the growth and development of the plant, which will lead to leaf loss. When you ventilate the room, move the flowerpot to a safe place, especially after watering, because the soil is moist and the roots will begin to rot quickly.

Light

During the cold season, the plant should receive enough sunlight every day. 8-10 hours will be enough, but you need to use special lamps to create the right conditions for ficus growth.

Fertilizers

Deficiency and excess of nutrients lead to leaf fall. Use fertilizers for ornamental foliage plants. If you want to repot the flowerpot, buy a balanced palm and ficus substrate.

Humidification

It is important to control watering to avoid waterlogging or vice versa. If the leaves begin to turn yellow, fall off, or change color to gray, this is a sign of excessive water. In this case, you should stop watering for a while.

Insufficient moisture leads to the fact that even green leaves begin to fall off. Most often this happens in the cold season.
