Caring for violets is quite simple. However, it is important to water them properly. The best way to do this is to use the bottom-watering method. To do this, pour water into the tray in which the pot with the plant is placed. When the soil is saturated with moisture, remove the pot and let the excess water drain away.

It is also possible to water violets from above. However, if you do this constantly, the root system can begin to rot. It is also important that when watering from above, the water reaches the ground only and does not touch the violet leaves.

The most common reason for the deterioration of the violet is a lack of nutrients. The plant needs to be regularly fertilized with a mixture that contains enough potassium and phosphorus for it to bloom well.

Some rather unobvious methods can also improve the condition of the flower.

Castor oil

To fertilize your violet, take four glasses of filtered water and let it sit at room temperature for several hours. Then add one teaspoon of castor oil and stir well to distribute it as evenly as possible.

Pour this liquid over the top of the violet soil so that no water gets on the plant itself.

Banana water

To prepare banana water, you need to take 3-4 banana peels, pour three liters of water over them and let it brew for 2-4 days.

Then, following the rules of overhead watering, feed the violet.
