Sowing calendar for March: favorable days for planting seedlings

March is a month of renewal, flowering, and, of course, planting seedlings in the open ground. To optimize and plan your gardening, experienced gardeners recommend using a sowing lunar calendar.

The Vikna magazine tells you which days will be favorable for planting seedlings and which days are better for doing other things.

March 1

On the first day of spring, it is advisable to start planting radishes, daikon, as well as annuals, perennials, and tuberous flowers. In addition, you can start transplanting and diving plants.

March 1-19 will also be a good time to plant tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, pumpkins, zucchini, and cabbage.

March 5, 6, 7

On the eve of the holiday of all women, you should take care of flowers. These are also favorable days for planting ornamental shrubs, fertilizing and thinning.

If you have time, plant onions, garlic, horseradish and potatoes, Jerusalem artichokes and legumes.

March 12, 13

On these days, first plant tomatoes, cucumbers, if you haven't already done so, peppers, eggplants, zucchini, pumpkins, radishes, and greens for salads, then prune branches and fertilize the plants.

March 15, 16

The middle of the month will be favorable for planting onions, garlic and horseradish, asparagus, potatoes, strawberries and strawberries, beans and peas, carrots and beets. You can also plant ornamental trees and fruit and berry bushes.

After gardening, you should treat the plants for pests.

March 18, 19, 20, 21

If you haven't had time to plant tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, peppers, and eggplants yet, now is the time. In addition, these four days will not hurt to plant zucchini, carrots, turnips and celery.

March 23, 24, 25

March 27, 28, 29

On March 27, be sure to take care of flowers and houseplants, as this is the last favorable day.

At the end of the month, don't forget to pay attention to all types of cabbage, potatoes, carrots, and beets. Onions, garlic, radishes, and daikon also need your care.

March 8-9, 14 are unfavorable days for dealing with seedlings and caring for plants. All other days are considered neutral. Keep an eye on your garden and take care of it as needed.

Remember, the sowing calendar is only a recommendation, and it should be used taking into account your climatic conditions and the characteristics of your garden.
