Quick ways to dry wet clothes: life hacks for cold weather
It's easy to dry clothes in a room with heating, as radiators make the air dry and speed up the process. But what if you need to dry clothes quickly in a cold and humid room, or even outdoors?

Twist well
The less moisture remains in the fibers, the faster the item will dry. So, spin your clothes well. You can even set the washing machine to an extra spin cycle. You can also wring out the clothes in a towel or blot them with paper towels before hanging them up.
Use a fan
A fan can remove moist air from your laundry, which means it dries faster. Place it near the dryer so that it blows on the clothes. You don't need to set it to the highest setting.
Dry in the sun
Even in the coldest of temperatures, the sun's rays still heat up items. Therefore, clothes hung in direct sunlight will dry much faster. So take advantage of the sunny weather.
Hang loosely
Tightly packed items form a thick layer of fabric that will take a long time to dry. Therefore, hang your clothes so that they are in maximum contact with the air.
Use heaters and dehumidifiers
These appliances increase the temperature in the room and, accordingly, reduce humidity. This means that clothes and home textiles will dry faster.
Try the towel and iron trick
If you lay out a garment on a washboard, cover it with a dry towel, and run a hot iron over it, it will dry immediately. If you turn the towel over and iron it again, it will absorb even more moisture.
Blow dry with a hair dryer
A regular household hair dryer can help if you need to quickly dry an item or two. But set it to a moderate temperature - too hot a blow can damage the fabric.
