A powerful explosion took place in Sergiev Posad, Moscow Region on August 9. A mushroom cloud rose and at least 25 people are reported injured. Eyewitnesses say there may be fatalities.
Russian media write about it. They added that emergency services are following the scene and that the cause of the explosion was a drone attack.
"A powerful explosion occurred in Sergiev Posad, a drone probably hit the building. The information is being clarified. Emergency services are heading to the site," local channel reports.

The explosion in Sergiev Posad probably occurred at the Zagorsk Optical-Mechanical Plant. Other channels say it can also be a "warehouse with pyrotechnics". Eyewitnesses confirm that "the whole plant was blown away".
Windows in houses near the plant were blown out by the blast wave.

"At least 8 people were injured after an explosion in Sergiev Posad. There may be more people under the rubble", the media reports.
