How to store a lot of shoes in a small closet: an ingenious life hack

Shoes on the shelf

In small apartments, every square meter should be used rationally. It often happens that you have more shoes than the shelf can hold near the front door. So it's time to do some seasonal cleaning, get out your favorite spring sneakers or trainers, and hide your winter boots.

If you're having trouble storing your shoes, you should try an interesting life hack that will help you save space. House Digest shared an interesting way to arrange a small closet.

Having so many shoes that the shelf can't hold is a common dilemma that many people face. This can happen due to changing fashion trends, impulse purchases, or if you're not used to throwing away old sneakers, hoping that they will come in handy one day. The result is a cluttered closet bursting at the seams - and shoes usually require a lot of space for proper storage.

A simple but effective solution is to create a shoe organizer on the closet door. The most reliable is a sturdy shoe organizer with a metal frame.

You can choose from a variety of designs and materials:

  • hinged organizer with transparent PVC pockets;
  • slip-resistant mesh organizer with pockets;
  • plastic hinged shoe organizer.

The organizers usually contain 24 to 36 or more pockets, which is more than enough to fit all the shoes on the closet door. Assembly is quite simple: just follow the instructions and make sure that the mesh inserts are securely attached to the frame. Choose a door with enough space to accommodate the shoes without interfering with the functionality of the cabinet. Make sure the hooks are secure and the organizer hangs evenly.

To prevent overloading, do not exceed the limit on the number of shoes that can be stored in each slot, and try to distribute the weight evenly across the available space. Wash and clean the structure regularly to keep it in optimal condition and extend its service life.
