In the summer, antiperspirant is indispensable - the scorching heat provokes active sweating and an unpleasant odor. However, removing sweat and deodorant stains is a challenging task.
Deodorants contain aluminum salts, which, when in contact with sweat, provoke a chemical reaction, causing the stains to acquire a characteristic yellow color. Sometimes it happens that ordinary laundry detergent only exacerbates the situation, as chemicals increase the yellowness. Read the OBOZREVATEL article on how to remove sweat and deodorant stains.
Citric acid
Lemon juice will only help with fresh stains. Just apply it to the yellowed fabric for 10-15 minutes, then rinse in cool water.
Soap (preferably laundry soap)
Grate laundry soap and dissolve it in warm water. Soak the dirty clothes in the solution for at least 2 hours, then wash them in the usual way using laundry detergent.
Pharmacy remedy
Grind 2-3 aspirin tablets to a powder, then dissolve them in warm water and apply to the stains using a sponge. Leave the solution on the stains for 3 hours, and then wash the clothes by hand or in a machine.
Dishwashing liquid
Please note: only use detergents that contain glycerin. Apply a thick layer of detergent to the yellow stains and wait about an hour before machine washing.
White vinegar
Vinegar should not be used to wash white clothes - it can leave stains. In other cases, it is a very effective tool. Apply it to the stain for 3 hours if the stain is fresh and for 10-12 hours if it is old. After that, you need to wash the clothes in the usual way using a powder.
Salt
The simplest and most popular ingredient for laundry. Rub salt into the yellow stains overnight and use laundry detergent in the morning.
Baking soda
Experts recommend pouring 3 tablespoons of baking soda into the washing machine container, adding the powder, and turning on the "stain removal" mode. The product is suitable for white clothes.
