How to get rid of unpleasant odor from winter shoes: the most fragrant methods

Winter shoes are the thickest and most closed. This, in addition to being the best at keeping you warm, it also means that they are more likely to develop an unpleasant odor. The problem arises because the moisture inside the warm pair does not evaporate well, creating a microclimate favorable for bacterial growth.

Tea bags

A dry tea bag can absorb some of the moisture and at the same time eliminate the unpleasant odor from the shoes. Simply place one or more unbrewed dry teabags inside your shoe and leave them overnight. When you take them out in the morning, the stench will be gone.

Coffee

Coffee works in a similar way. You can, of course, pour dry coffee grounds into your shoes, but it will be more effective to make a sachet out of it. To do this, put the grounds in a linen bag or disposable tea bags. Then leave the bag in your shoes overnight.

Baking soda

Another effective deodorant is baking soda. Make a sachet out of it in the same way as with coffee. You can also add a few drops of essential oil to the product to scent your shoes.

Hydrogen peroxide
