How to protect tomatoes from phytophthora: an effective tiphack

One of the most common diseases that can affect tomatoes is phytophthora. A fungal infection can negate all efforts to grow a crop. It spoils all parts of the plant, including flowers and ripe fruits. So you need to take measures to combat Phytophthora as soon as you notice the first signs of its appearance.

OBOZREVATEL tells about an effective remedy that will help overcome the problem. Prepare it yourself, it is absolutely environmentally friendly and will cost quite inexpensive.

To make a therapeutic solution, you need to take:

  • milk whey - 1 liter;
  • water - 1 liter;
  • Iodine - 2 drops.

The serum is diluted with water and 2 drops of iodine are added to the mixture. Everything is thoroughly mixed and tomato bushes are treated with this remedy. Spraying should be done once a week. It is best to do this at sunset so that the remedy stays on the affected areas longer.

Serum should be used in the early stages of the disease. Advanced Phytophthora will have to be treated with more potent chemicals.
