How to make fertilizer for indoor flowers

In winter, indoor flowers spend a lot of energy on growth and development, so you need to water and fertilize the soil in time. This will fill the plant with the necessary substances for future flowering.

You can make your own fertilizer at home to avoid spending money on store-bought mixtures. OBOZ.UA has found tips to help you make a useful pomegranate fertilizer.

You will need water and peels from one pomegranate. Remove any remaining pulp and seeds. Cut the peels into small pieces and cover them with water. Leave it for 24-48 hours so that the peels can "give up" all their nutrients.

Then strain the solution. Dilute the resulting liquid in a ratio of 1:10 with water at room temperature. Water the solution once a week.

The main thing is not to oversaturate the soil with fertilizer, because a high concentration of nutrients can be harmful to plants.

You can also use a spray bottle to spray the solution on flowerpots.

But pay attention to cacti, succulents, dieffenbachia, tradescantia, palms, citrus, hibiscus, and monstera. These houseplants do not need fertilization in winter because they are in a state of "rest".

If the flowers have stopped growing and blooming, it means that they need time to recover. Reduce watering and do not apply fertilizers.
