Two ingredients will help make the pan non-stick

Using a frying pan for too long can cause even a non-stick coating to lose its function over time. The food will start to burn, which will naturally affect the quality and taste of the dishes.

It's not always possible to buy a new frying pan, given the way prices have risen over the past year. Therefore, OBOZREVATEL figured out whether it is possible to restore the non-stick coating using cheap tools at hand.

If you have old frying pans that have lost their non-stick properties over the years, try a simple life hack. This method, by the way, was very popular with our grandmothers because, in Soviet times of total shortages, even buying kitchen utensils was difficult.

Pour a layer of rock salt into a hot, preheated frying pan. Leave the salt in the pan for about twenty minutes. Do not forget to stir from time to time with a spatula.

Afterwards, rinse the pan thoroughly with the soft side of a sponge or a cloth. You do not need to use detergent.

Dry the frying pan over low heat for a few minutes and lightly grease it with vegetable oil. Repeat the procedure in 3-5 minutes. Then wipe the pan dry, and you can use it for frying.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL told you how apple cider vinegar and parchment can help prevent vegetables from sticking in a frying pan.
