How to grow zamioculcas from a leaf: a simple trick
Zamioculcas is one of the most common and unpretentious indoor plants. It is also popularly called a "money" or "dollar" tree: according to signs, the plant can bring prosperity and well-being to the house.

How to grow zamioculcas from a leaf
Step 1. Dry the slices on a baking sheet, leaving them at room temperature for about 6-7 hours.
Step 2. To avoid rot and disease, you can apply a little activated charcoal, powdered and diluted with water, to the cut.
Step 3. For rooting leaf cuttings, use a substrate suitable for succulents with the addition of perlite and vermiculite.
Fill the container with soil and place the cuttings, immersing them in the substrate about a quarter of the way. You can put a plastic bag over the pot or cover the cutting with a cut-off plastic bottle to create greenhouse conditions for the plant.
It is better to make cuttings from several leaves at once - this increases the chances of successful rooting.
Periodically moisten the substrate and be patient - experienced growers say that it can take up to six months to grow.
Plant growth conditions
Zamioculcas is a thermophilic plant, so it will bloom well even in the heat. In winter, it will be comfortable at temperatures of +15... +18 °C.
Excessive moisture can lead to the death of the plant. In the case of zamioculcas, the rule applies: it is better to underwater than to overwater. The water should be warm and preferably free of all kinds of impurities, that is, settled.
Experts say that the plant does not need to be sprayed, but a monthly warm shower will be useful to wash away dust from the leaves.
Zamioculcas needs fertilization only during the growing season. The most optimal is the alternation of mineral and organic fertilizers.
