How to get rid of odor from plastic food containers: effective ways
Plastic containers are very convenient to use and housewives often store food there. The airtightness protects food from moisture, weathering, the sun, and insects. But over time, an unpleasant odor appears, which is difficult to get rid of with ordinary dishwashing detergent.

Newspaper
Wash the container in soapy water, wipe it dry, and put a newspaper sheet inside. Close the container tightly and leave it overnight. In the morning, rinse thoroughly again.
Coffee
The pleasant aroma of coffee will effectively solve this problem. You can use both beans or a ground mixture. Pour the coffee into the container, close it tightly and leave it for a day. Then rinse everything out and you can put food or products back in it.
You can also brew ground coffee and grease the container well with the grounds. Cover it with a lid and put it in the freezer overnight and the pungent odor will be gone.
Lemon
This is a quick way to clean the container. All you need is the juice of one lemon. Using a clean sponge, wipe the container thoroughly and rinse with water. You can also use the rind of a citrus fruit. Just rub it on the walls of the container.
