An effective life hack for washing windows

In April, just before Easter, the weather is most favorable for window cleaning. Cleaning experts advise against using soda, abrasives, and products containing gasoline to clean glass.

Of course, you can buy a professional window cleaner, but simple, cheap ingredients will be just as effective. Read the OBOZREVATEL article about a life hack for the perfect glass shine.

List of necessary ingredients:

  • Water
  • Medical alcohol
  • White vinegar
  • Essential oil
  • Cornstarch

This effective solution will wash even old dirt. For your convenience, we publish step-by-step instructions.

Step 1. Take a spray bottle and pour 2 cups of water into it.

Step 2. Add ¼ cup of white vinegar and ¼ cup of rubbing alcohol to the container. Mix thoroughly.

Step 3. A few drops of essential oil will give the product a pleasant aroma. It is enough to take 5-10 drops. Choose the scent you like. Lavender, tea tree, orange, lemon, and other essential oils are universal.

Step 4. Shake the spray bottle so that the essential oil is completely dissolved.

Step 5. Add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and mix again.

Spray the cleaner onto the glass and wipe it with a soft microfiber cloth.

Please note: this life hack is not suitable for tinted glass. There is a high probability that vinegar and rubbing alcohol will damage the tint.

How to clean windows after winter: a method for the perfect shine

Let us remind you that there is another very useful and effective life hack for cleaning windows. You'll need vinegar, a paper towel, and a newspaper. First, clean the glass from dust by wiping it with a paper towel. Then take a spray bottle and make a simple solution. Pour water and white vinegar in a 2:1 ratio. It is important to use white vinegar because it leaves no residue. The acids in the vinegar will quickly break down dirt and grease stains on the glass. The rigid structure of the newspaper will help wipe the glass without streaks. Alternatively, you can use a microfiber cloth.
