How to clean the stove knobs

Several simple and effective life hacks will help you quickly clean the stove knobs. Removable knobs can be placed in a soda solution, the dirt will come off by itself, and you just need to rinse them under running water.

Fixed knobs are a little more complicated. OBOZREVATEL offers the most effective ways to clean the stove to a shine.

How to make a soda solution

  1. Pour 0.5 liters of water into a small container and add 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda.
  2. Leave the removable knobs in the solution for 15-20 minutes.
  3. If the soaking does not remove all dirt, clean the handles with an old toothbrush.

Laundry soap

Laundry soap is used not only for washing. The lye contained in it can remove dirt from various surfaces.

Using a fine grater, grate ¼ bar of soap, pour ½ cup of hot water over it and stir until it dissolves. Dampen a sponge with the solution and wipe dirty knobs.

Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide

Mix 2 teaspoons of baking soda and a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide to a paste. Apply the mixture to the knobs with a toothbrush, leave it on for 5-7 minutes, and wipe off the residue with a damp cloth.

Salicylic acid

Acidic products are effective on greasy and old stains. Pour a small amount of salicylic acid solution onto a cotton pad and wipe the knobs. Remove any residue with a damp sponge.

Wet wipes

If the knobs are free of grease, you can use a regular alcohol-based wet wipe. Simply wipe the knobs and the panel around them.

Glycerin and alcohol

Required ingredients:

  • rubbing alcohol;
  • ammonia;
  • glycerin.

Mix the ingredients in equal proportions (for example, one teaspoon each) until a homogeneous mixture is formed. Using an old toothbrush, rub the stove knobs with the product and leave for 5-10 minutes. This life hack will help to cope with the most difficult dirt and grease. Finally, wipe the surface with a damp cloth.

Lemon juice

Citric acid is also capable of dissolving fats. Simply cut a lemon in half, squeeze some juice into a container, dip a toothbrush in it, and wipe the surfaces. Baking soda combined with citric acid will help remove grease.

By the way, if the dirt has already dried, vinegar, baking soda, citric acid, and mustard powder will help clean the stove. You can also use dishwasher tablets.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL told you that the burners on the stove can be cleaned with baking soda and soap. Soda, liquid soap, and water should be mixed in equal proportions and the solution should be applied to the burners for 20 minutes. The product will work very effectively: there will be no trace of dirt.
