How to wash light switches safely

Potatoes

This substance is a true champion of stain removal. Make a thick paste out of dry baking soda and a little water. Apply it to the yellowed plastic surface and rub gently with a sponge. Then carefully remove the rest of the baking soda and polish the surface with a clean towel. Be careful not to get the product in the holes of the socket.

White Vinegar

The low concentration of acetic acid degreases and cleans well. It also bleaches even severely yellowed plastics. You can soak plastic parts in vinegar, having previously removed them from the sockets and switches. It is better to use a mixture of equal parts vinegar and water for soaking. Parts should soak in it for about an hour. Then they can be rubbed with a sponge for a clean and shiny finish. The parts should be completely dry before they are put back in place.

Paint Remover Liquid

Whether it contains acetone or another solvent, it can handle yellowing. But before using it, you must test it in an inconspicuous place, because it can damage some types of plastic. The liquid should be applied with a microfiber cloth. It should be barely moistened. All outlets and switches must be completely dry from the solvent before plugging in.
