Stylish material is easy to clean if you choose the right products

Stainless steel plumbing fixtures look very stylish and are quite practical to use. However, a kitchen sink made of this material gets dirty and loses its shine quite quickly. Hard water stains, grease residues, detergent stains, and other typical dirt are visible on it.

However, it is not so difficult to clean stainless steel from such traces. You will need simple tools that can be easily found in any supermarket. OBOZREVATEL tells you about such products.

First of all, we are talking about baking soda. It degreases and cleans things well and acts as a soft abrasive that won't scratch a rather sensitive surface. You can use it by simply pouring a little baking soda powder into the sink and wiping it from the inside. At the end of such cleaning, it is a good idea to wipe the sink dry so that no water stains remain. This will be enough for daily cleaning.

If you need a deeper cleaning, you can strengthen the baking soda with lemon juice or vinegar. A mixture of white vinegar and water in equal proportions will also be effective in cleaning stainless steel.

If you want to protect the steel sink from dirt that sticks to it, you can treat it with vegetable oil. Apply a few drops of grease to a microfiber cloth and polish the entire surface well. Such a coating will not be durable but it will help you out when, for some reason, you need to make the steel sink look not just perfectly clean but flawless for a while.
