No need to mold: how to cook lazy dumplings in minutes

The most time-consuming part of making dumplings is molding them. It's a meticulous job that requires patience. But if you don't have time for this, use the lazy option.

The idea of making lazy dumplings was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Victoria with the nickname kelbas_v. The taste is no different from the original.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 250 ml of warm water
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 500-600 g of flour

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 800 g of minced meat
  • 1 large or 2 medium onions
  • 150 ml of water
  • salt + pepper - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. For the dough, beat the egg with salt, oil and half the water.

2. Add 500 g of flour and start kneading the dough.

3. Add water, add flour if necessary, and knead the dough for 2-5 minutes until it stops sticking to your hands.

4. Leave the finished dough to rest for 30 minutes in a bowl under a towel.

5. For the filling, mix the minced meat with the chopped onion (or in a meat grinder).

6. Add water and spices, mix the juicy minced meat.

7. Divide the dough into 4 parts and roll out into a long strip.

8. Cut it lengthwise into 2 parts, put the minced meat and seal 2 long snakes well, cut them into dumplings.

9. You can cook them or mix them with flour, put them on a tray and freeze them for later, store them in bags or containers with lids.

10. If you want to boil them, put the dumplings in boiling salted water and stir gently from time to time. The dumplings should not boil too much.

11. After the products rise in the water, they need to be cooked for another 1 minute.
