Each of us has unique culinary habits, often completely unnecessary, such as eating oatmeal exclusively in the morning, or considering coffee to be a morning drink. It's worth noting that each of us has a set of such "right" habits, and they are almost identical.

The FoodOboz editorial team has compiled a list of 5 absolutely absurd and unnecessary culinary habits that we all have.

1. Frying meat and fish in a frying pan in a lot of fat or on the grill

According to experts, fried food is dead food, which contains absolutely nothing useful, and it will only cause heartburn. Culinary experts and nutritionists advise cooking meat and fish in the most healthy way possible, such as baking in the oven or boiling, cooking in a double boiler, and this also applies to fish.

2. Cook seafood for a long time

These are products that take from 1 to 20 minutes to cook, depending on what you are cooking. Culinary experts advise cooking, for example, frozen squid by simply putting it in boiling water for 20-30 minutes, and then, if it is rubbery, leave it for another 30 minutes. If it's shrimp, the amount of time for cooking depends on the size of the shrimp.

3. Cook spaghetti in a little water and rinse with cold water after cooking

Chefs advise to cook spaghetti in a large amount of water, salt the pasta during the cooking process, and do not add olive oil to the water and most importantly - do not rinse the pasta with cold water, as it will become tasteless.

4. Marinate meat in vinegar, juices and mayonnaise

Vinegar, like juices, is what will make meat tough, but not tender and juicy, as they are acidic. Vinegar is also able to pull the fibers of meat and dry it out.

5. Use honey instead of sugar

You should know that honey consists of glucose, fructose, and a small amount of sucrose. The advantage of honey over sugar is that it contains a large amount of fructose, which makes it sweeter than sugar.

Therefore, it is often added to baked goods and cottage cheese instead of sugar!
