Pita pizza in a frying pan: a recipe for a snack dish
Pita bread is a very simple and budget-friendly product for preparing delicious and satisfying dishes, including pizza, rolls, chips, and even desserts.
Cook Yana shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious and very quick pizza on pita bread, made with 2 types of cheese.
Ingredients:
- Pita bread – 2 pcs.
- Mozzarella – 180 g
- Cheese – 120 g
- Greens
- Butter
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the mozzarella on a coarse grater and mash the cheese with a fork until crumbly. Finely chop the greens.
2. Cut two pita breads in half.
3. Grease the sides and bottom of the frying pan with butter.
4. Put part of the pita bread in the pan, top with part of the mozzarella, feta cheese, and some herbs, cover with part of the second pita bread and again put the remaining mozzarella, feta cheese, and some herbs. Cover the filling with the pita bread on the sides and put the last part of the pita bread on top. Carefully turn the pizza over and top with the remaining mozzarella.
5. Cover and cook for about 20 minutes over low heat.
Then sprinkle with herbs and you're ready to eat!
