Meat and beer pie for lunch: an original recipe from Yevhen Klopotenko
Pies are always a great dish for tea, and they can be an alternative to bread. They can be made from different doughs and even from pita bread. Berries, cottage cheese, fruit, and salty products like cabbage, meat, mushrooms, and offal can be used as fillings.
Chef Yevhen Klopotenko shared a recipe for a perfect pie with meat and beer, which you can make very easily and quickly, on his website.
Ingredients:
- beef (minced) - 800 g
- onion - 150 g
- beer - 500 ml
- olive oil - 1 tbsp.
- parsley - 30 g
- tomato paste - 50 g
- butter - 20 g
- puff pastry - 300 g
- butter - 20 g
- eggs - 1 pc.
- salt, pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Cut onion into small cubes and fry in vegetable oil.
2. Add ground beef, salt and pepper. Fry everything until the minced meat turns brown.
3. Pour in dark beer, add tomato paste and continue to simmer over medium heat until the beer evaporates.
4. Finely chop parsley and add to the pan.
5. Roll out the dough on a floured table.
6. Put the minced meat in a small ceramic or metal baking dish and cover with the dough.
7. Spread the beaten egg on top and bake the cake for 40 minutes.
