You can make khachapuri with different kinds of cheese, even cottage cheese and herbs. It's worth noting that khachapuri can be made not only in the oven but also in a frying pan. It is very important to make a good dough.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious, lazy khachapuri with hard cheese, cottage cheese and herbs.
Ingredients:
- flour – 330 g
- milk – 220 ml
- salt – 1 tsp.
- sugar – 1 tbsp.
- baking soda – 1 tsp + vinegar 1 tsp
- oil – 2 tbsp.
- cottage cheese – 300 g + 1 egg + greens
Method of preparation:
1. Dough: add salt, sugar, oil, and baking soda slaked with vinegar to the milk at room temperature and mix everything. Add the flour and knead a soft, smooth, elastic dough.
2. Cover it and set aside for 10 minutes.
3. Filling: grate the cheese on a fine grater and add a little cottage cheese. Chop your favorite herbs and add an egg, mix everything.
4. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll them into balls. Roll out each ball, put the filling, and pinch the top. Gently roll out the ball with a dough rolling pin to the diameter of your pan.
5. Over low heat without adding oil, bake the cakes on both sides until golden brown. Be sure to do it under the lid.
