The best homemade tea is definitely made from herbs. It can be thyme, mint, linden, St. John's wort, and chamomile. In order for the drink to have a pleasant taste and aroma, you need to collect the herbs right and, most importantly, dry them properly.
The FoodOboz editorial team shares tips on how to choose, prepare and dry mint for healthy and flavorful tea.
1. How to choose mint for tea
It is best to pick mint in the first two months of summer. According to experts, it is during this period that it is most healing and useful.
It is worth noting that it is better not to pick young mint as it will not retain either its medicinal properties or aroma when dried.
It is very important to be sure that the leaves are free of spots and specks. The leaves should be saturated.
2. How to dry mint
Before doing so, wash it well with cold water, tear off the leaves, put them on a paper towel, let them dry completely, and turn them over periodically.
Then put it in a suitable container; you can store mint for a whole year.
