"Give preference to whole oats, even if it takes longer to cook, but you will make a real porridge. When choosing cereal for making oatmeal, pay attention to the name on the package – Hercules or Extra," advises the expert.

"Such flakes have the finest structure due to thorough steam treatment and do not require cooking at all, just pour boiling water or boiled milk over them for a while and the oatmeal is ready," explains Victoria.

"They are made from whole grains, their structure is denser. It will take about 15 minutes to cook oatmeal from such flakes, and it will be much thicker and healthier for the stomach," the expert said.

After another five minutes, turn off the heat, close the lid tightly, and leave it to brew for a few more minutes," recommends Viktoriia.
